Ask answer based questions
If there are questions only to be answered by a specific group of respondents, or based on how the respondent has answered a certain question, the filter function could prove useful. It lets you decide exactly which questions that is going to be shown in the survey, depending on how a respondent has answered previous questions.
Filter on respondent categories
You can also use the filter function on respondent surveys and create filters from the respondent categories. If you, for example, have the respondent category “Sex” with the sub-categories “female” and “male” and connect those to your respondent survey, you can create filters which makes it possible to show certain questions to women, whilst men get to see others.
Do not ask more questions than needed
No one wants to answer un-necessary questions. By using the filter function when creating your surveys in Survey&Report, you make sure the respondents only answer the relevant questions. Neither more, nor less.
